So Busy, I'm Dizzy

okay, so i'm not really spinning like the tasmanian devil whirlwind with activity, but i'm a heckuva lot busier than i have been in what seems like ages at work. and that's a good thing and i'm happy about it. and i keep coming up with other ideas that will generate other projects. so i feel like a top that has righted itself--kinda like i'm back on keel. i'm even getting along with mr. perfect and the cph. whoa.

and in other good news, we signed on our home equity loan paperwork, finally, today at lunch. the check will be available for pick up on monday, so the adorable one is getting the pool contractor scheduled for the fill-in project, and once the check is deposited, we are sending in our final payments on the credit cards. we're closing two of the accounts as the adorable one doesn't even have the cards anymore (he cut them up) and that still leaves us with our marriott visa (which we use for vacations, special purchases like birthday dinners, and emergencies) and my american express card, which i pay off every month.

the adorable one feels like we're on our way toward financial independence and that we are doing much better regarding eating out less, not making impulse buys, etc. it's a really good feeling, as it seems like we've struggled to get out of a black hole that nearly swallowed us a couple years ago.

we're making progress and kicking up dust. and i can say, thank goodnesss--thank goodness things do really turn out okay and we can change our fortunes, slowly but surely. we may never be completely debt free, but we'll come as damn close as possible.

and the other really kick ass news . . . my credit score rocks.
