Vegas Baby, Yay

the adorable one is interested in attending a conference in sin city right after thanksgiving that will last about a week. it's at the venetian and very reasonably priced for a weeklong conference at a four-star hotel. so, he asked the president of his firm that said he would either get to go this year or next, but with friends going to mexico, disneyland, and hawaii, i'm jonesing for a little getaway of our own.

maybe i'm being selfish and shallow, but i want another vacation--somewhere fun, different, and off-the-wall. vegas, i think, is all those things. i don't hold out much hope, but if we make it there, we can make it anywhere. oops, wrong city.

the funny thing is, i've never gambled before--no slots, no card games, no nothing. i'm all about the people-watching, five-star restaurants, and free entertainment (the animatronics at the mall, bellagio fountains, etc.). and i hear the shopping ain't bad either. yay baby!
