Holy Cow

it was dark this morning when i got up for work today. i mean it wasn't dim, it was like middle-of-the-night black. it doesn't help that it's getting dark earlier, more so as each day passes. i understand that it's the time of the year where this happens. i just don't have to like it.

thank goodness the crickets and cicadas--at least they understand that we need their swan song of summer. now more than ever.
